Special Exhibition, South Iwo Jima: Changes in the wilderness over 10 years and the whole picture of the island captured by a drone
Minami Iwo Jima Island has no history of inhabitation by people. In 2007, the second natural environment survey was conducted since the end of WWII, and the unveiled island for the first time in a quarter-century came under the spotlight. Now, 10 years since then, this exhibition showcases the newly-discovered aspects of nature in the island as well as the past survey results in a comprehensive and easy to understand way.
