Isle of Eight Festival 2019

Jul. 13 (Sat), 2019
Hachijojima Potholes

In the summer of 2013, “Isle of Eight Festival” was born at Hachijojima, an isolated island of Tokyo which takes about 55 minutes by plane from Haneda Airport or about 10 hours by a ferry from Takeshiba.
The festival consists of the collaboration between folk artists from the islands and musicians from Tokyo along with the harmony among the ocean, mountains, and the sun. The primary aim is to show, not the festival itself, but the culture, including nature of the islands, its blessings, and life on the islands. The festival is created and completed by efforts of the islands’ residents and visitors acting as one.

Date: Jul. 13 (Sat), 2019. The venue opens at 14:00 and the performance starts at 15:00.
Venue: Hachijojima Potholes
